PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
John 7:37-39
Christ became our best example of how ministry should work. His non-judgmental compassion for people who are hurting and genuine power to get real answers from His Father was, and is, our focus here at Sweet River Church.
We do not offer a “rule keeping” kind of Christianity. Keeping external rules has never changed anyone's heart. Our ministry's highest priority is for you to have a clear understanding of God's grace first.
Once Grace is fully appropriated and applied to your life it will become the deepest foundation and will miraculously separate or sanctify you from wrong habits and behaviors.
The best kind of obedience is obedience from a heart of gratitude. Serving Christ out of duty or fear will only produce insecure and unhealthy believers who have no lasting joy.
So the bottom line for us is this: We’re in the zone!
The “legalism-free” zone here at Sweet River Church and we preach it often.
